Nomiko Kids is an up and coming kids clothing label, cofounded by Sophia Peterson who you may know as a co-owner of Canberra restaurant, The Elk and Pea. They recently unveiled their first full collection on the runway of Fashfest 2017.

Nomiko Kids tackles the world of kids fashion by breaking existing gender norm barriers and strays from the tired conformity of pink and blue hues. Instead it presents practical yet stylish, forward thinking designs that have a fresh take on kids fashion.

Flossie's Kitten Rescue is an independently owned business which takes in cats and kittens who have been abandoned, are about to be euthanised or in need of rehoming. It is run by local Canberran, Flossie, out of her very own home and with the goodness of her heart.

Flossie has transformed her home into a cat haven, with sectioned off areas for cats who need to be quarantined, newly born kittens and cats who crave the outdoors. Flossie has even installed a cat containment area in her backyard for when the feline residents feel the need to frolic outside.

Flossie's felines are vet checked, socialised, wormed, flea treated, vaccinated, microchipped and desexed before they find their perfect forever home.

Sancho's Dirty Laundry is an independently owned and operated by Sancho Murphy, a young Canberran intent on showcasing 'lowbrow' local art. Her store, located on the trendy Lonsdale Street, stocks a variety of local and independent Australian brands.

Their product range includes t-shirts, graphic artist supplies, vinyl art toys, zines, stickers, accessories, lowbrow art, skate decks and more. They also offer custom screen printing, a great resource for other local businesses!

Jasiri is a unique world's first pay-it-forward self-defence not for profit, based in Canberra. Founded by Caitlin Figueiredo and Ashleigh Streeter, both of who were recently named on Forbes Under 30 List for "challenging conventional wisdom and rewriting the rules for the next generation" of female leaders.

Jasiri provides a platform for women and girls to learn how to protect themselves, empowering their bodies and minds through training sessions held by professional athletes. Every time a class is booked, Jasiri will ensure that the funds go toward a free class for a local survivor of violence and/or abuse.
